1. 2. Supplementary Credit Card customers must be over 18 years of age. You will be liable for all Supplementary Credit Card spending.

3. Enrolment and participation in Membership Rewards is subject to the Membership Rewards Terms and Conditions available here and partner terms and conditions. The annual $50 Membership Rewards fee has been waived. Only purchases are eligible for Membership Rewards points. Membership Rewards points do not expire while your account remains current and in good standing. A fee may be applicable for participation in partner airline programmes. A transfer fee of $35 per transfer of points to one of our airline partner programmes will apply.

4. Membership Rewards Terms and Conditions apply. Enrolment in the Air New Zealand AirpointsTM programme is the Cardmember’s responsibility and a Cardmember must be enrolled prior to any points transfer request. An Airpoints joining fee may apply. Air New Zealand Airpoints programme terms and conditions apply visit www.airnewzealand.co.nz. A transfer fee of $35 per transfer of points applies. A minimum of 2,100 points may be transferred into the Airpoints programme and increments of 175 points thereafter. For every 175 Membership Rewards points transferred you receive one Airpoints Dollar. Customers who purchase fares using Airpoints Dollars will be required to pay, in cash, the government and airport charges.

5. The Credit Card gives you up to 55 days interest free on purchases, depending on when you make a purchase, when your statement is issued, whether you have obtained a balance transfer and whether or not you are carrying forward a balance on your account from the previous statement period. There are no interest-free days for cash advances or for any purchases where you are carrying forward a balance on your account from the previous statement period.

6. Terms and Conditions apply. You must book at least 14 days prior to departure. All flights are subject to availability and American Express does not guarantee that seats or tickets will be available on the dates or times that you may wish to fly. Seat availability may be limited to certain dates and/or flights and it may be more difficult to book seats around public holidays, school holidays or special events. You can book up to 10 months in advance and as with all travel, the earlier you book the more availability options you’ll have. The complimentary domestic return flight is available every year of Card membership on direct flights only. A standard one-piece, 23kg baggage allowance is included. Participating retailers include the following merchants who have been classified as “major petrol stations”: BP, Caltex, GAS (Gasoline Alley Services), Gull, Mobil, Shell and Z. Exceptions may apply if an individual merchant trading as one of the above-named retailers does not accept American Express as a form of payment. Purchases at major supermarket and major petrol station retailers are only eligible for additional points if the transactions are made in New Zealand.

10. Gift Cards are not redeemable or exchangeable for cash or credit and are valid for a period of three months from the date of issue unless otherwise stated. Normal retailer Gift Card conditions apply. Gift Cards are non-transferable. Gift Cards are subject to Partner Terms and Conditions. 

11. Points may be redeemed by the Basic Cardmember for a credit on the Primary Card account. American Express may decline a Points for Credit request where the Card account or Cardmember's other accounts with American Express are not in good standing. The redemption of Points for Credit will be administered solely by American Express within three business days and cannot be reversed. Points for Credit is not available for redemption by Corporate Card.
